"Southwark.TV" is a Borough-wide open-access community media service created by Community TV Trust. It was initially funded by Southwark Council through the Education Department. Chris Haydon, Director of Community TV Trust, produced a Review of the Pilot Phase in which nine organisations took part from across Southwark. They were drawn from schools, colleges and community groups. The anticipated re-launch in Autumn 2003 happened much sooner, in mid-May, now two years ago. Funding from Southwark Council and the Learning & Skills Council ran out in July 2004. New partners have joined the project on a regular basis - we now have over 50 active schools and community groups contributing to "Southwark.TV". All are welcome to apply. There is also room for a number of individual filmmakers too. Two have joined and there are currently others applying.
