Somali Media Project A short video made with Somalian refugees with support from Bruce Webb. Southwark.TV has forged links with local Somalis including Abdulkadhir Jibril at Rockingham Somali Support Group and Southwark Somali Forum, and also with Somali pupils from the Lambeth and Southwark area. |

Not Yet Remembered Nicola Woodham, filmmaker, worked with Southwark.TV as media trainer in local schools, facilitating a wide range of enjoyable, often ambitious films by fearless Primary School children and offers here a sensitive, largely abstract short film of her own. The soundtrack is created by Canadian composer, Mark Piron. |

Yangon The news from Myanmar is shocking and unimaginable. This documentary resulted from a visit by Chris Haydon to Yangon, the capital, a couple of years ago and features the local YMCA and its remarkable director, Mr Sonny. The BBC's famous Reithian maxim is shown still adorning the walls of Yangon's main TV studio building. Good to know that our proud heritage survives the military regime.As ever, an oppressed and impoverished people shine with human qualities in extraordinary adversity. |

Moses Film made by Moses as part of a media training short course run by Bede Drop In Centre in Bermondsey, Southwark. Tragically Moses lost his life, when he was attacked and killed late one night. He was a gentle spirit, much missed by those who knew him. Moses volunteered to support local filmmaking projects and was increasing his experience and confidence as a camera operator when he died. |
