A NEW START or JUST MORE AND BETTER A new group has come together in Peckham in the aftermath of the August disorder and looting in London. The spirit that emerged on the Poundland wall is translating into a wide range of willing and enterprising people and actions materialising across the area.Initial meetings and coordination have been handled by Peckham Settlement, with meetings held at All Saints Church in Blenheim Grove SE15. What does a healthy community look like? . A shared vision . An action plan . Generating ideas . Helping to connect the dots . or first Mondays in the Montpelier drinking a glass with your neighbours (that you've just met) Flow of information . Including residents/ voluntary sector/ businesses/ council . Knowing what is going on . Knowing who is doing what . Being better informed /connected . Know how to access what is going on . Links Building community . Networking space/get to know each . Skills/ assets audit . Joining our networks . Events/ get together . Extend the network - other local residents/organisations/sectors Being equipped/ supported . To put action plans into practice . To get to know your neighbours . Share skills .
