Southwark.TV has participated in Elefest every year and is proud to do so.
Saturday 30th September 2007 The Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre 6pm SOUTHWARK.TV - In its 5th YEAR Community TV Trust launched Southwark.TV in early February 2003. Now Southwark.TV [www.southwark.tv] continues to grow, to attract volunteers of calibre and commitment, is planning to move onto IPTV - courtesy of Global Digital Broadcast, and partner with local groups and filmmakers on a wide range of projects. Chris Haydon who created Southwark.TV is lecturing at colleges and universities, consulting with European and British client organisations, including political parties ... what is it all about ? Is the time for local media approaching ? Its many very real benefits are clear and well established, across radio, TV and the internet.
Monday 27th November 2006 The Coronet Film 7pm SOUTHWARK.TV - 4 YEARS ON [20 min] Community TV Trust set up Southwark.TV in late November 2002. During the four years of its life to date, Southwark.TV [www.southwark.tv] has grown to become a unique media venture on the British media landscape. The website is 500+ pages, there are over 50 partner organisations and schools, filmmakers screen their work and those with something to say speak out.
OH LITTLE TOWN [29 min) Chris Haydon, director of Community TV Trust and Southwark.TV travelled to Bethlehem in 2004 to explore the possibility of setting up a Southwark.TV partner organisation in this special, iconic place. This happened and along the way a number of key local Palestinians spoke out on camera about their daily life, their thoughts and hopes, their concerns and hardships.
