NEW KARATE CLASS
I am organising a new Karate course in collaboration with East Dulwich Community Centre located in Darrell Road SE22 9NL. This course is aimed at children and young people in the area. I have received increased interest from parents who want to help their children develop new skills and channel their energy.
The course is open ended and scheduled to start on Saturday 19th 2pm.

'Playground protected' - official
EDCC members are attempting to have our playground listed in the new Southwark Plan. The Plan governs planning decisions in the Borough and will be finalised soon at a public enquiry. Council officers will argue that listing is not necessary. Their response to the Enquiry includes a plan of the Community Centre showing the full site as we know it.
They write: 'The definition of Community Facilities would include playgrounds ... Therefore the EDCC playground does not require designation ... as it is protected as a Community Facility in the Plan and enhancement is encouraged.

Local and national politicians engaged in conversations with parents and other residents and with members of local voluntary and statutory organisations.
